1. How long is an internship program for?

An internship can range from anywhere between 6 weeks to 12 months in length. It can be a full-time or part-time internship.

  1. Why do I need an internship?

An internship is a proven strategy to gain relevant knowledge, skills and experience, while building important connections in your field. An internship is a way to get your feet wet and find out whether a particular job is something you could see yourself doing as a full-time job.

  1. If I am not a native English speaker, how can I know my level of English before joining the programs?

We will do short telephone interview with you to determine your level of English and discuss the best options for you. If your level of English is not satisfactory to us, we will make some recommendations regarding English classes.

  1. Will I be paid for my internship?

Generally no, however some companies may assist you with travel costs, or lunch costs. Some companies may also give you other benefits. This is at the discretion of the company and is not guaranteed. The primary reason for doing an internship is to gain work experience and to build your network of contacts in an industry in which you are interested. An Internship is an excellent investment of your time and efforts and will represent a valuable return in the long run.

  1. I am no longer a student. Am I eligible for an internship placement?

 Absolutely, we can find you an internship if you are looking for job experience or want to improve your skills.

  1. Can I choose my own internship?

It is not possible to guarantee the type of company, size or location. The type of internship varies according to different factors such as your qualifications, skills, experience and English Level.

  1. How do I know I will be placed with a good host company?

All our host companies go through a rigorous screening process before being accepted as suitable.

  1. How does a host company decide if I am right for them?

After the host company has reviewed your resume, you may be invited to an interview with them. During this interview, you will be asked questions just like in a normal job interview. Depending on the outcome of the interview, the host company may accept or reject you as an intern. If you are rejected, we will generally do a post-interview debriefing session. As soon as possible, another interview with another host company will be arranged.

  1. How do you monitor my progress after my internship starts?

After the initial placement, you will be required to submit regular reports on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. These will keep track of how your internship is progressing, what tasks or projects you have worked on and for how long, what challenges you have faced, and so on.

  1. What if, I start my internship and I am unhappy with it?

If the problem cannot be solved through communication with the host company, other options will be considered. It is however quite rare that, despite everyone’s best efforts, a company fails to provide the experience which they had committed to provide. In such cases however, every effort will be made to resolve this problem and consider the best possible next steps as quickly as possible.
